Mr. Liu brings an exceptional level of management capability to ASI. His background includes experience as a senior project manager for a number of sophisticated structures, both in the U.S. and abroad. His past work has included years of experience in marketing and sales, training and supervision of project managers, interdepartmental and vendor coordination, manufacturing strategies and site supervision including the directing of crews in excess of 120 people. He has successfully managed a variety of innovative projects incorporating unique structure and cladding systems ranging from space frames to membrane structures. Liu's seasoned management skills were invaluable in his 3 year involvement as the Senior Project Manager on the Biosphere 2 project with Mr. Patterson.

His early work as a design specialist included the execution of a number of efficient and cost effective space frame structures for various applications. His strong technical experience provided an ideal background for an increasing involvement in marketing and sales activities.

Mr. Liu's current responsibilities as ASI's Vice President of Asian Operations include the solidification of new and existing Asian markets and the development of strategic alliances. This lead to the company's first overseas office located in Taipei, Taiwan, established in 1991, to better serve ASI's clients abroad and to create a gateway to Asia. He has successfully negotiated and established the first space frame manufacturing venture in Taiwan. The objective of this effort is performance; the ability to deliver the highest quality products at the most economical prices and with the quickest possible delivery.

Mr. Liu's efforts have resulted in strong sales in the Taiwan market. Projects include the prominent Rapid Transit Stations, and the Park #7 project, located in the heart of Taipei.

Mark Liu was born in Taiwan and educated in Hong Kong and the U.S. His in-depth understanding of the intricate and delicate Asian business cultures provides high level opportunities for ASI. He has consulted with many U.S. firms doing business in Asia and is actively involved with related communities and organizations.

Mr. Liu earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. His earliest work experience as an architectural designer with several firms in Hong Kong, including the prominent Palmer and Turner Group, and his fluency in both Mandarin and Cantonese, has helped lay the foundation for ASI's Asian operations.
