Mr. Dehghanyar plays a key role in the implementation of ASI's corporate objectives regarding total systems integration; the integration of product and process to form the basis for a true information based, performance oriented building systems technology. His experience in the areas of structural research and analysis combine with an expertise in the development of computer automated systems to yield a unique and powerful capability. Tejav Dehghanyar is developing the tools and technology for ASI that form the foundation for significantly improving conventional building systems methods and techniques. He is an expert in the design and analysis of long span structures, as well as in seismic engineering and design. Dehghanyar's research experience includes analytical and experimental studies in structural dynamics and control, and real time simulation of mechanical and analog models with active and semi-active vibration dampers. He has undertaken probabilistic studies for the construction of mathematical models of non-stationary random processes, and conducted experimental analysis on the behavior of nonlinear structural systems under shock excitation. His work in these areas is professionally significant and ongoing.

He previously worked five years as a senior project engineer with John A. Martin & Associates. His work at Martin included the design and analysis of a great variety of concrete and steel structures including long span roof structures for stadiums, airplane hangers and domes. He recently accomplished the design and analysis for a complex large grid custom space frame structure for the entry and lobby areas of the Los Angeles Convention Center expansion project, currently under construction.

Dehghanyar has developed a finite element analysis program called SPACE. The program is versatile and extremely efficient in the analysis of space frames and large span structures, considerably minimizing the time and expense required to accomplish this critical function. Dehghanyar has worked to develop highly innovative automated systems to accommodate the design, analysis, and fabrication of space frame systems. The automation software integrates the building products and the rules for their application, and incorporates information management to link and control departmental productivity. He has been responsible for the design and analysis of many space frame structures, including the world's largest space frame complex, Biosphere 2.

Tejav Dehghanyar holds a Ph.D. in Structural Mechanics from the University of Southern California (Dissertation: "Analytical and Experimental Studies of the Active Control of Flexible Structures"). He was a lecturer with the Civil Engineering department of USC for years, and continues an informal relationship with the University.
