A seasoned consultant with international experience, and veteran director, manager and project leader of teams developing systems software and GUI applications. Substantial practical systems & networking administration experience configuring DNS, NFS, NIS, Sendmail/POP, setting up bridges/routers as well as WWW servers/news servers, tuning OS kernels and the integration of peripherals for SunOS, Solaris, AIX, IRIX, DGUX, Digital Unix, HP-UX, CLIX, NT, and Windows 95. Owner of a consulting service specializing in System & Network Administration, network design, and the development of software to integrate applications, databases, and document management systems. Sampling of services provided include:

• developed business proposals for prospective clients to
  1. install, configure, and provide help-desk support for UNIX workstations
  2. develop database replication application for a University Consortium: The Global Basins Research Network
  3. designed and hope to develop a Kiosk for a major Oil company which would connect to a central server via dial-up link
• for Saudi Arabian company, developed GUI applications integrating Oracle, a GIS tool, and a Document Image Management System
• for Government contract, developed an interactive forms generator using Tcl/TK
• designed a corporate network architecture for a Geophysical Software development firm, selected products, cabling contractor, and assisted with installation.
• connected a number of companies, inluding Landmark Graphics Corporation, HyperMedia Corporation, and Walden 3-D, Inc. to Internet, setup firewalls, DNS, email, and provided systems administration support for workstations, and PC's.
• for a major Realtor, setup NT as a Watcom Database server, configured PC running WfW as application clients, redesigned the network, and integrated on-line backup.

Hands-on Development Manager and product architect, responsible for developing a network queuing system, hosted on UNIX & NT servers, that incorporates an RDBMS with Motif and Win32 client applications, the ACE network layer, and custom C++ class library.

Landmark Graphics Corporation (APR'83 - AUG'92)
Director of Systems Engineering, responsible for development of workstation systems. Formed strategic alliances with vendors, managed budget and development of a number of products, reported to CEO.
Organized a Computer Services group to develop network products and a corporate network architecture. Corporate internet established connecting four sites, 100+ workstations, PC'S, and Mac's.
Represented the company as Chairman of the OSF UEC UIMS.
