Dynamic has developed a process named the Lead Generation Machine, as shown to the left (click on the image for a larger version). This process is tailored to each specific project. Maritech's area-of-interest (AOI) includes Federal and State Leases between Matagorda Island and Mobile Bay and nicely fits into the capabilities of The Lead Generation Machine and the experience of the Dynamic Professional NetWork.

A draft example of the Process Model which Dynamic proposes to use on this project has been prepared (Click here to review). It is key to recogize an exisiting workflow model (template) will be modified with Partner counterparts, in order to insure client objectives are being met, and the entire team is always together on Project Goals.

Two illustrations describing how Dyamic's data mining can assist Meritech Resources include (click on title to see the figure): Both figures are part of a paper being presented at the Corpus Christi SIPES meeting on Tuesday, 26 February 2002.

The following outline summarizes work flow and deliverables to Maritech Resources, Inc.:

  1. Select a sub-area of Maritech's AOI for a proof-of-concept project in West Delta, South Pass, or their Additions (as shown on the map to the right):
    1. Define the boundary of the AMI selection (Area-of-Mutual-Interest). Prototype selection software is availalbe by clicking on the image to the right, which will take you to a page that allows AMI (Note, This web page requires a recent version of MicroSoft Explorer, and it is slow to download). This page divides West Delta and South Pass into IG5 Grid Cells (Infinite GridSM Level 5: 7.5o Longitude by 3.75o Latitude Grid Cells), which can be dragged into an Order Selection Box and e-mailed to Dynamic to start the process.
    2. In exchange for these funds, Dynamic will provide exclusive use of the Lead Generation Machine, as summarized above, to Maritech Resources within the proof-of-concept AMI for 12 months from the date the AMI is defined (this exclusivity is renewable annually). Implementation will include:
      1. Identify possible criteria for defininging which reservoirs and which fields are approaching abandondment within the AMI;
      2. Data mine large databases, potentially thousands of reservoirs and fields, to quantify the criteria defining "just-about-to-be" abandonded fields; e.g. identify which fields have already been abandonded (zero current production), and study the last several years of the lifecycle of each reservoir and each field in order to determine common characteristics as they approached abandonment (for example the ratio of cumulative production to ultimate recovery approaches 95% and the rate at which it does so for each specific hydrocarbon compartment).
      3. Use these time-dependent criteria to search all currently producing resevors and fields to predict which are most likely to be abandonded next (or which can be quantitatively shown to their current owners should be abandonded);
      4. Rank highgrade each Grid Cell within the proof-of-concept AMI in regards to potential for additional reserves from bypass or deeper prospects. This work will create a couple of hundred maps defining basic engineering criteria (anticipated depth to reserves, sand thicknesses, etc.), earth physics (pressure, temperature, density, etc.), and geology (formations, number of sands, depositional environments, etc.). These maps are generated so they can be imported as the equivalent of a Landmark Cultural Data File into GeoQuest, SMT, a GIS system, etc.
    3. As a proof-of-concept project, payment is only expected on a services basis. The price is $3,500 per Grid Cell. There are:
      1. 11 Grid Cells in South Pass ($38,500);
      2. 25 Grid Cells in West Delta ($87,500.);
      3. 11 Grid Cells in South Pass South Addition ($38,500);
      4. 17 Grid Cells in West Delta South Addition ($59,500), for a total of 70 IG 5 Grid Cells ($245,000).
      5. Simultaneous selection of the entire area reduces the selection to 58 Grid Cells ($203,000).
  2. Once the usefullness of this approach is demonstrated in the proof-of-concept AMI, it is approprate to expand the AMI to cover other areas with exploration potential within Maritech's AOI. At this stage, Dynamic recommends creation of a more permanent team to support Maritech Resources and its parent company Tetratec. Potential team members with experience in the area will be interviewed by Maritech, specifically to jointly select a Team Leader to head up the project. This process includes:
    1. Identify NetWork Members who have experience working within the AMI boundary. As an example, the following four names are linked to Infinite GridSM representations of their resumes, highlighting where projects have been done in the past:
      1. Eric D. Carlson
      2. Richard L. Coons
      3. Sam D. LeRoy
      4. H. Roice Nelson, Jr.
      Note in the above list Roice Nelson worked farther offshore, while each of the other three potential team members have experience in West Delta and South.
    2. Similar maps will be made showing various types of data coverage, existing production, production across time, etc.
    3. Using Boolean Operations between the various maps to allow and test development of a mutually agreed spatial ranking system.
  3. The Team Leader and Team Members define the Project Goals and set out a Project Plan and associated Work Flow as jointly defined.
  4. The Team then executes against the plan.
  5. Dynamic's long-term goal is to participate in the upside from hydrocarbons we help discover. As Maritech evaluates the Dynamic Resources NetWork and technologies, there are several possible business relationships, including:
    1. Start out with a straight consulting fee based on pre-agreed prices for various services.
    2. Enter into a flat fee, multi-year contract for Dynamic to exclusively data mine Maritech Resources' API, monitoring new discoveries, abondoned lease opportunities, capturing legacy reports, doing automated self-classification to identify new trends, and dedicating an appropriate number of FTE (full-time equivalent) explorationists.
    3. Maritec retains first-right-of-refusal to look at Prospects Dynamic has or is developing within or adjacent to the AMI. amd can use other consultants and groups to work within the AMI.
    4. Dynamic can provide access to Chroma Energy's ImageGeneticsTM pattern finding software to evaluate Maritech Resources' 3-D seismic data (Chroma requires participation and all work must be done at Chroma's facilities).
    5. Dynamic will do the Land and Engineering work required to highgrade the appropriate fields in order to better identify which fields Maritech Resources consider purchasing.
    6. Dynamic will do a detailed portfolio analysis of all existing fields, and provide Maritech Resources with ownership positions, Proven Production, Production Behind Pipe, and where upside potential is most likey to become available over the coming years.
    7. Dynamic will prepare regular reports summarizing the work and the recommendations.

    Thank you for your time, and we look forward to pursuing these opportunities with you.
