We've been back in Southern Utah for almost seven years now and we couldn't be happier to live in New Harmony in the shadow of the Kolob section of Zion National Park. For the first time this year, Joe and I are empty nesters. This year two of our sons and our daughter-in-law will graduate from the U of U. We have two granddaughters in Texas with our daughter, Jocelyn and her husband Steve. Our youngest two sons graduated from Cedar High School where they knew Huck Shirley. Art Bowman, though retired, still took pictures of their sporting events.
I drive to St. George each day where I am the director of the Dixie State College Small Business Development Center. Bonnie Olofson's husband Rich was formerly my supervisor. So you can see, the ties with Cedar High are still strong.
My biggest regret was sailing through those years in a stupor of confusion and awkwardess without truly knowing so many of you classmates. I am still not thanking Heidi for nominating me for the privilege of chairing this reunion, but maybe it's my chance to reconnect with you.
