Dear Roice,

Mom had her best day for years on Saturday. When I picked her up I told her Bridget would be a soloist in St. George in April and Mom said she planned on being dead by then so I was not too excited about the afternoon. We went shopping at the mall and she got hungry so we went to the food court. Arlo and Ramona were there and we had a nice visit with them. Mom has decided she wants to live in Santa Clara when she gets well enough to get out of the nursing home. She was all excited about this idea. Then we went to the Rodeo parade. I parked her in the shade of a building and two sets of friends from her childhood ended up sitting next to her. She loved it. The bands, the floats, the children, the horses and wagons. She was so happy. It made me feel like it was worth all the hassle. Then we found a new dress for her high school reunion and a hat so she's set for that.

I'm going to Salt Lake next weekend for a music workshop so I won't get to St. George, but I might run down on Monday to give her a quick visit and her magazines. I could send the magazines down with friends who go to the temple each Friday if I'm too overwhelmed.

It was good hearing the report from Paul. There was another article about the restrictions on new (less than 15 years in the country) religions in Russia, but Senator Bob Bennett from Utah is working on getting a more reasonable legislation from the Russians and as isolated as Paul is there should be less impact on him even if they come up with new rules than if he were in Moscow.

I hope you have a good week.
Love,
Sara
