Just a note to tell you your letters are welcomed. Being away from home makes news from very special. It has been interesting reading your letters. I have always wished to know you better and your letters are helping me do that. I hope in all your sorrow you realize how happy you are with your wonderful children and with your affection and appreciation for Marti. How greatful you must be for your many blessings. How blessed you are to be so smart and to have had such interesting experiences in your life. How blessed to have so many friends who care and extended family who really love you.

Our experience in Pakistan has been one of those wonderful opportunities which I will be glad to put behind us but for which I will at times long to be able to experience again. I have grown very attached to the teenagers here. They are handsome beyond belief. They treat me kindly. They even laugh at my jokes. That's the final complement. I keep myself busy teaching and they respond by being here on time to be taught. Most of what I teach is English but one does not teach a friend without teaching about themselves and I am very much a Latter Day Saint. I have grown to love the scriptures since being on my mission. It wasn't that I didn't love them before but I felt I had read them and why read them daily--especially since daily I was busy doing lots of--to me--important things. It will be interesting to see if I still engage in daily scripture study when I get home.

Lloyd is out in the night fixing our water pump. We have been without water for about 24 hours. I have lots of dishes to catch up on.

I close now sending my love. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for caring. Thanks for being a special someone. God Bless!

Aunt Luana
