Thirty-one years experience in the training, research, and application of geological and geophysical techniques that enhanced the ability of oil and gas companies to search for reserves.
Developed training courses for GeoQuest International in Seismic Stratigraphy and Seismic Facies Analysis, that are part of training curricula for most major petroleum companies. These have been presented in North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Participated in interpretation and consulting on exploration problems for petroleum companies including North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Evaluated global sea level changes and their effect on the stratigraphic record as depicted on reflection seismic records. Reconstructed eustatic changes of sea level which occurred during the Paleozoic using publications. Utilized results in exploration efforts for development of play concepts to predict facies patterns and the shifts of depositional units associated with these sea level changes.
Investigated inversion modeling techniques for lithologic predictions of reservoir quality.
Defined favorable exploration trends using seismic stratigraphic techniques in western Canada and Bering Sea basins, and focused on modeling techniques and carbonate facies distribution of Devonian reefs.
Prepared study concerning failure of exploration efforts in the Gulf of Alaska.
Published over 40 articles, monographs, and treatises and made over twenty presentations for professional societies. Publication list upon request.
