Thirty-six years of direct petroleum industry related experience in drilling operations and research, field operations, technical instruction, computer applications, and management.
Developed various electonic manuals (hypertext), expert wywtems, and operations manuals for a wide range of drilling operations.
Designed various training programs for drilling personnel, including special courses in well control, general brush-up prograams, and coordination in the preparation of programs on drilling fluids and drilling optimization. Taught well control and drilling schools in China, England, Egypt, Iran, Australia, Trinidad, Argentina, and the U.S.
Investigated and reviewed non-scheduled catastrophic events in the European sector and wrote drilling manual for use by all the Amoco European subsidiary companies.
Co-developed on-site computer to capture, analyze, and display drilling parameters.
Prepared drilling and optimized drilling programs, provided field engineering suppport, completed wells, supervised cost effective drilling programs, handled well control situations, implemented methods to minimize downhole corrosion in producing well.
Optimized drilling by developing procedures to investigate effects of tranportation of miscible fluids in porous media. Presented technical papers based on these investigations.
