Qualification Summary

Thirty-one years experience specializing in geophysical techniques, including depth conversion of seismic interpretations, computer applications to interpretation, and the integration of acquisition, processing and interpretation. These techniques were primarily performed in Australia, New Zealand, Qld, NT and Papua New Guinea.

Well versed in geophysics, especially overseeing and troubleshooting seismic processing worldwide.

Responsible for the first use of computer assisted seismic interpretation for BHP and the introduction of the Landmark interactive interpretation systems to BHP Petroleum - this was Landmark's first commercial delivery.

Instigated the introduction of interactive processing (PROMAX) after a detailed evaluation of competing systems.

Instrumental in encouraging the use of leading edge pressing technology, 3D prestack depth migration.

Managed field crew as part chief for six years in Qld, Nt and Papua New Guinea.

Published several papers in the APEA, ASEG, and AusIMM and SEG journals
