Twenty-three years experience in technical and training positions in geology and geological engineering in the oil and gas industry.
Developed geologic and engineering criteria used to select horizontal drilling candidates and recommended drilling opportunities.
Evaluated all oil pools in Alberta, Canada for acquisition candidates using a unique computer concept and recommended 20 pools for acquisition.
Established regional stratigraphic framework and production controls for the Lower Triassic North Central Alberta including tectonic, fluid, and pressure histories.
Conducted reconnaissance and detailed field work in the Eastern Desert and Sinai peninsula of Egypt establish tectonic-stratigraphic framework for exploration in the Gulf of Suez.
Constructed detailed reservoir description of a 350 MMBO Jurassic field in the North Sea integrating facies, petrography, petrophysics, engineering, and geophysics to optimize field performance that led to the recommendation of drilling 10 wells, wells, a 5% improvement in recoverable reserves and increased field life.
Taught industry and in-house courses on horizontal drilling, facies architecture, reservoir quality, and sequence stratrigraphy. Acting as technical editor for the McGraw-Hill Annual Encyclopedia of Science and Technology for the petroleum industry.
