Qualifications Summary

Fourteen years experience in oil and gas evaluating and integrating geological and geophysical and computer technology in both the domestic and international environments. Founder and President of Marco Polo Software, Inc., producing the following softare products; "PHIL" family of Basin Fill Simulators and "BasinWorks" - Geohistory and Backstripping analysis tool.

Acted as a consultant to Petroleum companies including Amoco, Conoco, Instituto Colombiano del Petroleo - ECOPETROL, Mobil, Shell, Texaco.

Designed course and trained individuals in Sequence Stratigraphy, Quantitative Basin Modeling, and a structural field seminar.

Initiated a project to develop an interactive program to reproduce paleogrographic time-slice maps and assist geologists in the process of reconstructing the plate tectonic history of tectonically compex regions. Supervised the development of a production version for a VAX system.

Participated in lease evaluation of Syria using field and seismic stratigraphic studies which documented timing and style of transpressional deformation with subsequent solution collapse. Also evaluated offshore structures using seismic study and by applying a well and outcrop study of Cretaceous and Jurassic sections to characterize lithofacies for reservoir and source rock potential.
