... I. The Matrix ...

values paradoxes

By being vulnerable and by sharing very personal experiences at the beginning of this chapter about the science - religion matrix, I hope to illustrate a visceral knowledge of having a realistic perspective to the challenges accompanying each of our lives. These challenges can build or they can destroy faith. In my way of thinking, just like seismic traces or well logs or an aeromagnetic survey, these experiences are data in it's most basic form: instances of specific meanings occurring in the real-world. Each of us have access to data with relevance to our own lives. How we use data to improve our lives and the lives of others around us often comes down to whether or not we have faith and whether or not we have an open mind.
