Cover Letter to Dr. Jory Pacht

header Introduction Profile Team NetWork Technology Contact

Jory,

These web pages have been put together because of your participation in the formation of Energy Quest Resources. Congratulations on the success of your venture which lead to this milestone! Woven into these web pages is a proposal to help you and your partners optimize the success of your new venture. My goal for our lunch appointment on June 12th is to begin exploration of these ideas.

It has been 13½ years since you came to an HyperEdge OpenHouse, and signed the HyperMedia Expert NetWork Agreement and Values Statement. There has been a lot of water under the bridge since then, including our mutual work with Ken Mallon and A.J. Kalsi. We are both older and wiser, and hopefully still as idealistic as in 1994.

I ran out of money attempting to start up Dynamic Resources Corporation without proper funding, put the company in mothballs, and have been paying the bills working with Fred Hilterman at Geokinetics (formerly GDC) for the last 3½ years. During this time Geokinetics purchased Trace Energy and Grant Geophysical, merged them with Quantum Geophysical, and is now the 4th largest land and transistion zone seismic acquisition company in the world. I helped them get 4 major processing / interpretation projects in China, repackaged Fred's geophysical rock property database for the Gulf of Mexico as TilesTM, and have been working in the PSDM group. I have learned a lot about AVO and have great relationships with the management of Geokinetics. And I am ready to move on, either through providing new services through Geokinetics, or by contracting to a company like EnergyQuest, where there is an opportunity to participate in successful drilling for hydrocarbons.

Even though we have a signed shared values understanding between us, these pages skirt around some key proprietary technologies which I know can help you be successful in your acquisition and exploitation of oil and gas properties along the Gulf Coast. There is detail on data organization and data mining technologies, and how to successfully revive the NetWork we both worked to establish years ago. The bottom line is I have learned what works and what doesn't work, and it only requires understanding your goals and objectives and sufficient cash flow to implement the processes and help create a stellar success.

Thanks in advance for your consideration of these ideas. I am looking forward to our lunch.

Best Regards,

Roice
