. . . - . . . . . .

In 2006 Joe Roberts, a neighbor and friend, was hunting ducks on his property next to the Hockley Salt Dome in northwest Harris County, Texas. A storm came up and a lightning strike hit a short distance from his truck. The next year he was back at the same place doing the same thing when another storm came up and a lightning strike hit what appeared to be the same place. Joe came to my house and asked me if lightning strikes twice in the same place and if so did it mean he had oil underneath his property against the Hockley Salt Dome? I saw Dr. Jim Siebert, Chief Meteorologist at Fox News, at a church activity later and as a lightning strike hit off in the distance in George Bush Park asked him if lightning could hit twice at the same location and if so could it be realted to natural resource deposits? This started the discussion leading to Dynamic Measurement LLC. Then on the 27th of September 2011 Joe was back at his property and watched a lightning storm come again, with strikes all around him. The bottom left map shows where he was parked, and each dots shows the location of a cloud-to-ground lightning strike on this day. Joe and his partners plan to drill an exploration well in March 2014.
