. . . - . . . . . .

This slide summarizes the points about geology made when discussing the old car. Geology is the basis behind all of the departments and classes being taught at SUU. Agricuture depends on nutrients in the soils. I remeber being told as a youth the red dirt in Cedar gets into your blood, and maybe this is the reason we are moving back to Cedar. In nutrition science think of the nitrates from fertilizers, mentioned earlier. Biology does not exist without nutrients. Computer science and information systems do not exist without minerals and rare earths. Engineering and construction require materials, which all come from geology. Mathematics requires a chalk board and a building. Do nurses take into count the red dirt in our blood? Where do folks studying physical sciences go to climb rocks, ride dirt bikes, etc.? What was the old car made of? The physical side of our lives always comes back to geology.
